Most times when two of the same sign get together it is too much of a good thing. But not so when the Aquarius man finds an Aquarius woman. They will understand each other's special language which requires them to refer to each other as "best friends" and never anything more. Their secret code also dictates that they live together without marriage; after all, marriage is soooo conventional. I like to think of these two trying to shock each other. That's their favorite game with third parties, but I wonder if it works between the two of them. "Let me shock you." "No, here, let me shock you." "No let me slap you." "Okay, slap me. Then I'll slap you harder." And so it goes, and so it goes. Of course it's all just talk. These two are air signs and they tend to suck up all the air in the room. They can be so sure that they know everything and see everything and envision everything that has ever been and ever will be. I do wonder what they talk about very quickly.
How to Attract an Aquarius Woman as an Aquarius Man: If you're an Aquarius man trying to attract an Aquarius woman, of course you will know to give her lots of space. Aquarians have the reputation of being very friendly but they really don't like people at all, so she is likely to be alone when you encounter her. If you have crossed her path, you are likely involved in a common cause which makes the perfect entrée into a conversation. This should keep you going for the first several dates. Nothing personal, please. After that, since you're both pretending that you're not dating, you're just friends, a lot is left up in the air. You have to keep getting together, but under the pretense or guise of dating. Keep it cazs.
How to Attract an Aquarius Man as an Aquarius Woman: For starters, interrupt the conversation he's having with someone else. Act like you could care less about the social context of the meeting. Show your strong individuality and your preference for mental engagement, not emotional entanglement. It's okay to be smarter than he is if you really are. Turn and walk away as abruptly as you walked over to start the conversation.
Degree of Romance: I don't think so.
Degree of Passion: Only for other species.
Degree of Friendship: For as much as they will tout their relationship as "best friends," they are probably each other's only friends as well.
Degree of Marriage: This actually works well because they live in their own world of ideals and special values. Others might consider them cold, aloof,
Progression of Relationship: The Aquarius man and Aquarius woman keep going back to start, because they insist that it's just a friendship which makes for an expanded consciousness between them and it allows them the space they need to co-exist happily in their universe.
Sex: If they could, I'm sure they would prefer to do it on the holodeck or take part in the famous Vulcan Mind Melt. Aquarians are the one sign constantly at odds with the human body. They tend to think of themselves as energy circuits, or units of energy, programmable through the mind at a safe distance. They tend to look at sex as procreational and ironically they are singularly displeased with their own creations. The Greek god Uranus, the Ruler of Aquarius, ate his own children because they weren't good enough. This leads us to a circular place regarding this most human of all functions. Sometimes the "problem" is solved with gadgets and "toys", especially of the electrical shock variety. Sometimes the group gets involved. It was the Uranus in Gemini generation that invented swapping. Whatever can be conceived of -- I'll let you imagine -- as long as it is at arm's length and no messy bodily fluids are involved.
When It’s Over: When it's over, they turn their backs and walk away as if they were pacing off for a duel except the trajectory is exponential. They can't get far away from each other fast enough. All the rest is just words.
Our Rating: 8/10. I give them this high a rating because (1) they are not likely to marry at all; (2) if they do marry, it should be to one another; and (3) if they do get together it will probably only ever be one of the same species.

My husband and I are both Aquarius. We both give each other a lot of space. Your accuracy in describing our relationship is uncanny! Nancy’s astro readings are very interesting and unique.

This is the coldest relationship that anyone can imagine, Aquarians along with Pisces are the most passive people of all. When two Aquarians want to start a relationship together, none of them bother to arrange the initial dates and therefore they loose contact. This is not the case with Pisces due to their clingy and dependent nature. The reason mentioned is the main reason why there are not too many Aqua-Aqua relationships compared to Aqua-other signs relationships. Another reason why this is the coldest relationship ever is because Aquarians really want to detach things from each other (as well as from themselves). Thus, In an Aqua-Aqua relationship, both of them want to detach from the other one and refuge into their ice tower, which this makes them extremely unable to make the least commitment to each other. Aquarians are the sort of people that if you go to them to solve your relationship problems, they are quicker and less hesitant than anyone else to offer you to separate from each other.
By the way, dear Nancy, can you answer my question about the appropriate time of my heart surgery posted in the other page. I know the moon position is also very significant in the result of the surgery.

My husband and I, both Aquarians, just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. We’re both very passionate and loving, and have two amazing daughters that we are exceedingly proud of. While it is true that we are best friends, and have to work to keep the sizzle in the relationship, we’ve been really happy all these years. Cold? Aloof? Hmm, not us. We do both appreciate some private space and “down time” but while a bit of this reading seems dead on, the rest leaves me puzzled.

I’m an Aq man who was in a relationship for two years with an Aq woman. It began with the speed of light, and yes, it was about trying to out-shock the other one. It was an exhausting two years but we accomplished more together that many couples do in 10 years. Eventually she he turned her back on us so fast my head spun and I got so angry because I wasnt finished playing the game yet. Funny because I didnt care that she was leaving or that our relationship was over but I wasnt finished playing yet. That is truly how I thought about it. I wont date an Aq woman again. I didnt like what it made of me. I am very interested in a new lady, a Virgo who interests me on a totally different level. Thank you for this site which has clarified some things for me….

Well, this is interesting! Two of my ex’s are aquarius men and I am an aquarius woman. The first, we challenged each other all the time. We were great friends before we got together. Then when we finally made it for sure, I had to remind myself that I was in a relationship. I would be here and there; just everywhere. He gave me my space the majority of the time but wanted to show me affection when I had important things to do and had to be on the go; he could only keep up sometimes. I got tired and bored with him. One morning I woke up and told him I wanted to be alone…for good. He still is chasing after me after 4 years. why I don’t know. He will start a relationship and the next thing I know, he’s back on my tail! but we are still friends, by my choice.
The other man is a friend with benifits. A very handy thing to have I must admit! No ties, no strings, no questions or smothering. We don’t get around to it too often, but when we do it’s great. We made it clear that we will remain friends even though people think that we are a couple. I don’t wish we were and neither does he. this works for us. I think it works so well is that we both got out of long relationships and aren’t wanting those ties again. I see it as we are helping one another out.

It was interesting to read this post and comments
I just googled compatibility and found this page.
I like that expression.

I’m an A. woman, very “difficult to catch”. Never dated an aquarius guy. It was always Tauruses, Scorpios, Leos, Geminis..
But now it got to the point where other signs just can’t really understand my mind and soul on aquarius level. I started dating a famous DJ (and I am a concert pianist and dj/producer myself). It’s unbelievable how much we understand each other, and he gives me plenty of energetic support that I need. We are energy units – for sure
Aquarius is the sign that is uncommitted one until we find that “ideal” we are looking for. But would we ever find it, I don’t know
Aquarius with Aquarius connection is very special. Unique+another unique makes it thrilling for both of us

Makes sense that you’re both into music, too. Let’s see what kind of harmony you can create together. Thanks for dropping by the site.

I am a aquarius woman. I have never dated my own zodiac sign before but I have meant this guy who is an aquarius and it seems like we are connected for some odd reason. He is always texting me saying that he miss me but what is so funny about it, I be texting him at the same time when he be texting me. I really like him and what it to work but everything that you and others are saying about a aquarius man and woman dateing is scaring me because I don’t wanna loose him due to us being the same sign. Do you have any ointers?

I find this to be another incomplete, shallow and thoughtless profile of aquarians. If so much can be said of aquarians and other signs, why not the two together? I read a couple aquarian/xxx compatibility profiles and so I expected acquarius/aquarius to be as well thought out but… not. Aquarians are many things and one of them seems to be the constant butt of jokes for astrologers.

Well, I’ve read all your comments and I’ve recognised myself in most of them. I am an Aquarius (and very proud to be one) – yes, we are both great and awful (depending on the situation), we are smart and kind, and also stubborn and cold (again, it depends on the situation – you cannot be kind to someone who hurts you….). I was never involved with an Aquarius man, but I am convinced that only one of my own kind will be my soulmate (because he will understand me perfectly and won’t be surprised when I need space, or affection, or anything else and I’ll know exactly what he needs because it’s what I need….!). I was amused when I read the part about the sex; I am sorry to contradict you, all the Aquarian women I know (5, counting me) love sex – I think because we think that sex is natural, and funny, and interesting. Of course, toys are sometimes involved; after all, it’s 2010 and we are adults!!!!!
