I can truly attest to this. I myself are am a Cancer my boyfriend is a Leo and he spoils me like no other. He’s still dangerous and whatnot, but he makes me feel comfortable to be myself. I dated a Leo for 5 years. He was verbally and physically abusive. He blamed me for EVERYTHING even if it was HIS fault. He belittled me, made me feel stupid and as a Cancer, I stayed longer than I should have. I did a LOT for him! I made his coffee, made his tea, kept a clean house, listened to his rants and raves, put up with his crap, fed him, fu*ked him, stood up for him only to be punched in the face, choked, head-butted, thrown across the room and called names.
I disregarded the red flags early in our relationship: No relationship with his mother (he’s bad mouthed her quite a lot), very secretive (found out he had a daughter he lied to me about) and was quite the con-man…I mean, “very persuasive.”
Yeah, I laughed and felt loved at times, but his temper was too much to bear when I didn’t deserve it. I also have a Gemini rising so I’m very outspoken, but I felt more “Cancery” with him because I was afraid to speak my mind (in fear of getting hit).

I’ve been in love with a leo for 27 years. I am a cancer of course. The problem is we were and still are both in a marriage that we were and are not happy in and we found each other to late. I am a true cancer, that is “an emotional basket case”, a nurturer, a hopeless romantic. I spent 2 years with a Leo and I wanted to get engaged but he wasn’t ready. I pushed him away. I’m a Leo man, and I just broke up with a Cancer woman after 2 years. She was also my first successful love and foreign!! Her name was Puhan and she was from China. EXOTIC!
Anyway, We’re both young 20 year-olds, so we still have much to learn and experience, but let me tell you, those 2 years had some of the best memories of my life. Now, I’m not gonna say that this Zodiac reading is ENTIRELY accurate (because what Zodiac reading is, right?), especially since there was a huge culture difference with her being Chinese and me, American. Now, for all those interested, short story time!! It was basically one big chick flick at the start. She had a mentally abusive ex-boyfriend who was angry-crazy and stalkerish and got pissed when we started dating. He threatened to do stuff, like kill me (for serious…), so being insecure, she messed with him a bit and then broke with me and went with him, although she was crying during the obligatory “why?” conversation on the phone, lol. Now, being my Leo self, I noticed her emotions in turmoil and I grant second chances easily as well as protect those who need it.
So LONG story short, over the course of a month or two, I was able to give her the confidence to break up with him by being a sort of a secret lover (Leo Drama FTW!!). She was incredibly brave risking her own safety. She really did have a good heart. So I gave her the time she needed and never pushed or gave her an ultimatum, but man, when her moon finally shined and she gave him the big “F.U. You can’t abuse and control me!!” DAYUM. That set her mind in stone.
Then, because he was a stalker coward who couldn’t face me up front but freely yelled at her when I wasn’t around (can’t imagine why, I’m a skinny frail white gamer, lol), he stayed hidden until we went off to college. Then he verbally assaulted her and tried to trick me into thinking they had sex before she left for China (which she does in the summer). Puhan basically said to me “I can’t stand him. I deleted his messages, and you have my permission to tear him a new one…” I gladly obliged and did so through FB (he started it. I always act in defense). He then dropped off the radar.
2 years of awesome follow.
and THAT’S our chick flick story, lol. She grew to be a much more confident and independent woman, and I love her for becoming strong.
And our break-up? Probably the most peaceful and tender breakup ever. She simply fell out of love when she was in China, because that’s what young people do when far away from each other. Throw in culture difference and contradicting future goals, and it was sorta a semi-mutual parting of ways. No anger, hate, or antagonism. Actually, we’re still incredibly fond of each other’s company.
Hell, I even drove her back to our college town (same college) to her apartment because I’m a gentleman like that. We went out and had lunch, remembered our time together, kissed a little, and parted ways.
She is now a much stronger woman than before, and I had my first Asian GF! Win-Win! LOL….and I’m going to miss her. But you know…if she is happier, I wouldn’t have it another way. Like I said, we still have feelings, just…concluding ones.
But you can bet that if her ex shows up again (not me, the other guy, lol) or she falls in with another abuser, I’ll be one of the first to come to the rescue. That is…if she doesn’t mess him up first. She’s a strong, independent Cancer with some Leo fire in her eyes now. Plus, she’s Chinese. It’s a fact that they all know Kung-Fu….ALL OF THEM.

Truth to be told, the love was truly beautiful while it lasted. She was loving and always giving… but very stubborn…
I guess I was quite easily jealous and possessive… and that drove her nuts… and made me more angry when she was out with other guys even though they were just friends…

I am now dating a Leo man I was close friends with two years ago in school, we met back up & he confessed how much he was into me in school so we talked about it for a month & he asked me to be his & of course I said yes. Im a cancer woman who just met a leo man about a month ago…when we first met he was totally open and treated me like a lady…to me that was scary because I have never been treated like that or had someone be so honest about themselves…As we talked he had mentioned that he was heart broken from his last relationship…to me that was a red flag because the word “heart broken” is used when someone is in love with a person and they break their heart. So last week he met up with her on Wednesday but the day before he had texted me and told me that he missed me and that he was confused and didnt know what he was doing…well i left for the holidays to Mexico and today he sent me a message telling me that he missed me and that he wanted to be with me, that he sat down with her and talked about their situation, he also said that he didnt want to be with her because he said that he can trust her no more and that he wants to be with me…I will be driving home this friday so i will see him then…im happy to hear this, but im going to have to him time for him to heal…im very patient and a nurturer im sure i can give him time…he is a true leo man, he is very honest, open, he has alot of pride and he knows how to treat a lady and i appreciate what he has thought in these couple of days he showed me that men can be different and that good men do exist. @ Uniqueloveless.. I would not have left a comment if it hadn’t have been for you. I am a Cancerian woman and I can quite literally feel how you must be feeling though this has never happened to me. So many websites say that Cancerians are afraid (if not reluctant) to express their feelings, but this is soo untrue! Time is what you need. Take a minute and think about how your current situation is making you feel, then COMMUNICATE (not really shouting at you but no italics are avaliable
your feelings to your Leo friend-cum-lover/bf, then take a step back. In fact take 6! He is aware (I assume) of your past disappointments in relationships and when things start to feel serious for Leo men, they withdraw.. So he is (possibly) having an internal battle between his feelings and not wanting to hurt yours. Take him and yourself off the hook; step back, tell him why- without making it too heavy and just try loving being independent. There are sooo many lovers and friends you have not met yet… We are prone to cynicism when things do not work, but just give yourself a break

Sorry, @ Uniqueloveless, the Leo men withdraw statement, is not applying to them in general. They are very brave (as are we) and they like to be and step up to the role of the one that is needed.. I was referring to younger Leo males, who may not be ready or sure of a deeper commitment..it’s also vunerability and insecurity that (MAY) be making him withdraw..

he did not ask me about my past relationships and even i never asked him whether he is married coz he looks very young and well dress’d up,when his wife call’d me i came to know that he is married…he just did time pass with me and i did the same but i lost interest on him and dont want him as my life partner never but what if he forces me and blackmail me how to tackle with him?
I’m a cancer women I had being dating this Scorpio guy for 5 years. I was so in love with him and I thought he loved me. He used to treat me like crap. But the sex was somewhat great. i am a cancer woman in love with a leo man. He gives me a lot of affection and love but is moody as hell and when he is in one of those moods, i dont know what to do with him. Especially since it makes me feel so fed up because i try so hard to please him. He can be giving, helpful and very charming so i can never stay mad at him for long. He can on the other hand be inconsiderate at the worst of times. If its going good its going great, but if its bad it can be really bad. I started exploring the Leo Man/Cancerian Woman compatibility after I met this great guy…..Before I met him, I was in a relationship with a Capricorn, & while I loved him & thought I was in love, I was crushed by him.
